Fall is here and from the looks of the trees it will be a pretty one. I was a little worried since we had such a hot dry summer. I just finished this quilt in Civil War prints that were perfect fall colors.

Happy Fall

So here we are into October and still soooo many quilts that I wanted to make this year. Time just seems to slip away.
This is a table runner that someone ask me to post. It is a very simple runner that can be made in a few hours. And then these Dresdens need to be finished and I love making them so much I dream of all the colors that they can be done in. We won’t talk about how many quilts we have started! All the fall decorations are up and so pretty again. Don’t you just love those Mums and pumpkins!! Come see us.

Gosh!!! The hurrier I go the behinder I get! Let me try to catch up on What is going on in my shop and life. Well back in July Daniel and Ashley got engaged. We are all in love with Ashley. She is a sweetie and likes to sew too. August is just a blur of one hot day after another. Traffic has been slower this year so I’ve had time to get some kits together and make a few quilts. I’ve gotten some pretty new fabric. Her are some pictures.

This last pictue is Michelle’s quilt. I told her last year that she had to make a quilt if she was going to help in the shop. Well all she has to do is bind it now. It is real pretty ( Lovely by Moda)
In between working and quilting We had to put a new roof on the house due to the hail storm in April. This was no fun. They stired up all my dust inside dropping those bundles of shingles on the roof. So I need to spend a day or two fluffing up here at home. And have got to do something about those darn coons vandalising my screened back porch. They get in and can’t get out and so I’m up in the middle of the night opening the door for them. Really I make Clark do this!
Well this is the short version of my August. I am going to try hard not to get so far behind again.

Quilting is such a relaxing sport. Yesterday was a rare day that I was able to sew at the shop. So I finished putting a border on a quilt that has been in progress for months. Then I set together blocks for a quilt made of batiks. Christmas and fall fabric is beginning to arrive. I just need to finish up a couple of projects before I start on anything else.
We will have FAT QUARTERS for $2.00 each next week July11-16 2011. So if you are going to come to Knoxville for the AQS Quilt Show come on over and see us.
If you are intrested in the English Paper Piecing class July 11, call and reserve your place. 865-436-0077
